Registration in Victoria

You can visit the Victorian Registration and Qualification Authority (VRQA) website for more information.

We have made available the application form, Learning Plan template, and comprehensive instructions for you to follow, containing ideas and tips for registration.

The VRQA require a Learning Plan when you apply for registration. This is a summary of the work that will be covered in each subject area. We will help with producing a Learning Plan.

In most cases, VRQA will assess applications within 10 days. However, some applications may take up to 28 days to assess after receiving a complete application. If the application is incomplete, VRQA will ask you to provide more information.

Reviews - Not all families, but up to 10% of families are reviewed to check that registration requirements are being met. Find out more about Reviews from the VRQA  website.

Toward the end of the application year, the VRQA will contact you to ask if you intend to continue with homeschooling.
