Important Delivery Information for New Zealand customers only
Important Delivery Information for New Zealand customers only

NZ Customers

Orders to New Zealand use TNT Global Express. The following is quoted from the SCEE Product Catalog (Version 2.2, page 67):

Overseas customers should be aware that import duties and fees may be levied by Customs Authorities based on the declared value of goods in a consignment. Our goods are described as “EDUCATIONAL MATERIAL- NOT FOR RESALE”. However, we cannot say they have “NO COMMERCIAL VALUE” as a financial transaction has taken place between us as the supplier and you as the customer.

Our invoices will list two amounts. One will be the total value of the order including freight. The other total will be a comment in the body of the invoice: “VALUE OF GOODS EXCLUDING FREIGHT IS $………” This second value is purely the value of the goods without freight… Duties and taxes may be payable by you as the recipient and importer of the goods. SCEE cannot guarantee that no taxes or duties will be payable by the client irrespective of the carrier.

It is the customer’s responsibility to familiarise themselves with their own country’s Import Laws…

If you are uncertain about the cost of a particular delivery service, you can contact SCEE for a quote. However, this quote will not include any of the charges mentioned above.

Duty / GST with New Zealand orders

For our products there is no duty, but GST is payable. If the GST (15% on the goods and freight) is more than NZ$60 then it is payable plus an import fee.

The following is link that our customers could use prior to submitting and order to see what they may have to pay.

Where to find product on the Webstore

You will find most PACEs using the button. Remember, Levels are not the same as Grades, and you will need to know which PACE numbers correspond to the various Levels. (See the image on the right. Click to enlarge)

Some subjects are harder to find. Scroll to the table below for how to find each subject in the Webstore. Click on a subject to open its details. The Webstore button sequences are shown, along with PACE numbers (including regional PACE numbers; e.g. 1079 PNG for PNG Social Studies), and resource books. Charts and stars are at the end.

For example, to find Nutrition Science PACEs,
click the Senior Electives button. Wait for the next page to load, then click the Senior Science button.
When the next page loads, you will see a button labelled Nutrition Science.

SCEE Order Form

As some families struggle with ordering products from the SCEE Webstore, we now have an option to order using the Australian SCEE Order Form or, if outside Australia, the New Zealand SCEE Order Form which is an Excel spreadsheet. They include a list of products which can be filtered by the columns to only show certain products (such as those in a certain subject area, Product Code or PACE Number). Once you have completed your order, please filter the Qty column, to display only the products ordered. This will allow you to then cross-reference with your list of PACEs to purchase to ensure that you have included everything. Please note that when you receive the invoice, the total will be different as you will receive a discount.

Member Discount

Accelerate Christian Home Schooling members receive a discount on resources of 19.3% or more (depending on your region), compared with Retail prices.

This is not immediately obvious on the webstore, because at least two discounts are applied. One shows on the webstore prices, and the other is applied for our members at the checkout.

Factors influencing the base (Retail) price are:

Affiliate membership - Schools and homeschoolers enrolled with a service provider are given a 15% discount on resources. This is what is shown on the webstore if you are logged in.

Each school or service provider is given a further discount depending on their status. Accelerate Christian Home Schooling members enjoy a 5% discount, added to the Affiliate membership discount. This second discount is applied at the Checkout.

Offshore (non-Australia and New Zealand) countries don't receive this additional discount, however they do receive a different discount, from 5% to 25%.

Many countries apply a GST or similar tax. For the examples shown here, taxes relating to countries outside Australia are not included.

Price for one typical PACE or Score Key (current - September 2023):

  • Retail (no discount) - A$7.66 (incl. GST A$8.43)
  • Australia (19.5% discount) - A$6.17 (incl. GST A$6.79)
  • New Zealand (25% discount) - NZ$6.43 (incl. GST NZ$7.39)
  • Other countries (between 19.5% and 30% discount) - contact us for more information.

Please note: The cost of freight is additional.

Review Your Order

Whether an oversight, mis-clicking, or a technical glitch in the website, mistakes do occur. It is vitally important that you review your order. The warehouse would not stop to ask why you ordered three of the same score key, or why you did not order a particular PACE.

There are two opportunities to review: Once before submitting the order and once after.

Carefully check the order confirmation that is sent to you by email immediately after you submit your order. If you see a problem, notify the Orders Department (Partner Support) by email, as soon as you see the error. Copy us in the email and we will make sure that your message is received.

Use this email address: orders@scee.edu.au and CC us: info@accelerate.edu.au

You can word it like this: “Hello, My Customer Code is ABCD123. I just placed an order on the Webstore, but notice that it has these errors... Please adjust my order for me and let me know. Thanks…”

And that’s it! Problem fixed.

SCEE Returns Policy

SCEE accepts returns from customers for materials purchased strictly within 90 days from date of invoice. Materials must be returned in saleable condition, unmarked, unstamped, with no sign of shelf wear. A restocking fee of 20% will be charged if the customer has changed his or her mind or made an error.

Green Icon? What's it mean?

Green Toggle Icon means that there are notes apart from Webstore location or PACE and Key numbering. It would be worthwhile looking inside.

General Note - Atlas
General Note - Obtainint an Atlas

Social Studies PACEs above 1078 require the use of an atlas. Map reading skills are taught in many places in Social Studies PACEs, as well as in World Geography (1097-1108). No specific atlas is recommended, and children may use online maps if one is not available; however, using a book atlas is a valuable skill. If using online maps, you will be able to get the locations with a little effort, depending on how much you zoom in.

With Australian Social Studies 1079-1084 (Australian State Series), for example, the mapping exercises refer to a map plus the vocabulary section before it. The vocabulary list helps to find the locations on the map.
We highly recommend purchasing a good atlas of the world with a good Australian section. If you have one, make sure you list it as one of your resources.

Important - There is a score key error in the 2017 1097-99 score key relating to the 2020 Revision of the 1099 PACE. There may be a 2020 Revision of the score key, but if you receive a 2020 Revision 1099 PACE and an un-revised 1097-99 key, you can find the correction at this link. This concerns the Self-Test and Test.
Print this pdf document (2 pages) single-sided as one page is for the Self-Test and the other page is for the Test.

Seterra - This online "game" will definitely help students remember geographical locations including countries, states and main cities. Learn all of the African countries for PACE 1099! Now also with Science memory games for anatomy and the Periodic Table.

Economics

The subject called "Economics Short Course," worth 1 credit, is made up of the "New Economics" PACEs from 1-6 (1139-1144).

The full course of 10 PACEs is worth 2 credits, and is made up of all of the PACEs in the table below.

The course is described in the first part of this video (Episode 6).

Senior Modern History

The course is described in the first part of this video (Episode 2).

This course looks at source material and how to interpret it to build a picture of history. As well as texts and activity books, students are required to use “supplementary folders” containing source material (one for every two units). Keys are also required, one for every two units. There are various research assignments to be completed throughout the course.

The total expense should be considered. Each course (Senior Modern History 1 and Senior Modern History 2) comprises ten text PACEs, ten Activity Pacs, five supplementary folders (30 booklets in total) and five keys. Each booklet costs a little less than a PACE. Check the price list.

Text PACEs do not come with Activity Pacs. These must be purchased separately on the webstore.

Note: Two single-credit short courses may be taken as an alternative, for students who want to specialise: Asian Studies (11-15) and Australian Studies (16-20). For either one, the key and supplementary folders for units 15-16 must be purchased.
