Online A.C.E. Diagnostic Testing
The A.C.E. School of Tomorrow in the United States provide a series of Diagnostic Tests that provide us with feedback on the knowledge and skills of your child in the four areas of Maths, English, Spelling and Reading Comprehension, in line with the content included in the A.C.E. leveled PACE workbooks.
We provide a Diagnostic Test Analysis service to our families, for a small fee, in which we analyse the results of the tests in order to write a 'prescription' which outlines which PACEs/level the student should begin with across all 7 subject areas (Math, English, Social Studies, Science, Word Building, Literature and Chrisitan Studies). This also enables us to identify specific gaps in their learning that need to be addressed. We include in the prescrition any needed revision work and gaps PACEs, to ensure your child’s success using the A.C.E resources.
These tests can be completed either online online (after creating a login) or using paper copies. While paper tests are still available, we encourage families to complete them online as they are free and can be completed more quickly.
General Instructions
- It is important to be on hand when your child does the Diagnostic Testing
- Make sure your child understands they can go between and back to previous screens, without losing answers.
- Make sure you note your account login details, as there is an option to save and return to a test. This will not be possible if you can’t login again.
Some questions require selecting the correct answer by clicking a choice, selecting an answer from a drop-down list or typing the correct answer in a box.
Reading Diagnostic Test
For the Reading test, the text and questions about the text are on separate screens. However, as this is a reading comprehension test, and not a memory test, these screens can be switched between as many times as required to ‘look for’ the answers in the text, in order to answer questions on the next page.
Maths Diagnostic Test
For the Maths test, your child may use a pencil and paper for working out. They should NOT use a calculator. We have provided special sheets you can print out for your child to show working out for some selected questions.
Working out must be clearly shown using pencil in the spaces on the sheets. If a mistake is made, your child can use an eraser to correct things or neatly cross it out. Correct answers should be selected or typed on the screen.
Please scan or photograph these working out sheets and sent back to us using the Online Diagnostic Test Report Form (Blue box at the bottom right of this page). This will assist us in our Diagnostic Test Analysis. NOTE: There is a limit to the file size of 2MB per photo max. Alternatively, please attach the photos to an email and include your child’s name, so these are matched to the correct test.

4. Go to the Student Profile tab and enter each of your child/ren's details separately. Include their full name and last
completed chronological grade level. Please add our email address info@accelerate.edu.au in the "Email Results to:" section to
ensure that the results are emailed directly to us (as well as you).
5. Once you have created a Student Profile for each of your children, click the Take Diagnostic Test tab for the first child to
start completing their first Diagnostic Test. Choose which test you want them to take and what level to start on.
We advise that students under the age of 12, begin 3 levels below their chronological age and that students over the age of
12 begin 5 levels below their chronological age. The reason for this is to ensure that more content is assessed. There are
some areas which are not studied in every level, so by assessing multiple levels, we cover more learning areas. Also, by
starting with lower levels, the child gains confidence and can know better how to use the Diagnostic Test website.
6. The Diagnostic Test results will be emailed to you so, if you haven't added our email address to the Student Profile tab
(above) please Forward them to us at info@accelerate.edu.au.
